Retaliation
An adverse action taken against a person because of that person's engagement in a legally protected activity.

Sexual Harassment
Behavior of a sexual nature which is unwelcome and personally offensive to the recipient of the action. Sexual harassment is defined and prohibited, by state law and federal anti-discrimination laws where: 1) Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of employment; 2) Submission or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting such conduct by an individual; and or 3) Such conduct has the purpose or effect of interfering with an individual's work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment. Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to sexually offensive language, comments, slurs, jokes, innuendoes, pictures, and cartoons; pranks of a sexual nature; unwelcome and repeated requests for dates; whistling and catcalls; telling lies or spreading rumors about a person's sex life or preference; giving unwanted gifts; and/or standing close or brushing up against a person and other unwelcome physical contact.
