  1. Procedures
    1. The Department has procedures to ensure that employment practices, which include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, promotion, compensation, benefits, layoff, and termination are non-discriminatory.
  2. Affirmative Action Plan
    1. To recruit and retain a diverse work force, the Department will maintain an Affirmative Action Plan, in compliance with state/federal requirements and Governor’s Executive Order 98-01, to correct under-utilization of persons who have experienced disparate or adverse treatment and/or impact in employment. The Affirmative Action Plan will be reviewed at least yearly to keep the program current.
    2. The Affirmative Action Plan will be available upon request.
    3. All management and supervisory staff are responsible for carrying out the Department’s Affirmative Action Program requirements for recruitment, outreach, hiring, and retention.
