PRESS RELEASE: Department of Corrections Inmate Escapes from County Custody

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. – Department of Corrections’ inmate recovery teams are working with local law enforcement to find an inmate who escaped from the Lincoln County Jail this morning.

Ronald Rutledge, 34, is a medium security inmate who was being housed off-site at the Lincoln County Jail to attend court proceedings for additional criminal charges. The inmate escaped jail custody at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015. The circumstances of the escape are being investigated.

Rutledge was last seen wearing a blue coat and green beanie hat. He may be driving a stolen All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). DOC’s specialty inmate recovery teams and local law enforcement are currently searching an area near Davenport, where the inmate was last seen.

Rutledge has been in prison since July for a conviction of second degree burglary out of Stevens County. He was moved to the jail on Sept. 1, 2015 in order to attend his court dates.
