Offender Walks Away from Forest Service Crew in Thurston County

LITTLEROCK, Thurston County – The Department of Corrections and local law enforcement are searching for an offender who walked away from a forest service crew near Cedar Creek Corrections Center located in Thurston County.

Stanley C. Green, 47, is a white male. He has blue eyes, is 6-foot-3 and weighs about 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a DOC-issued red shirt and tan pants. Anyone who sees someone matching Green’s description should call 911.

Green was last seen at about 11:20 a.m. today while training for a forest service crew that is operated by the state Department of Natural Resources. The crew was training about one mile away from the prison.

Green began his prison sentence in October 2007 for three counts of first-degree robbery in Whatcom, Yakima and Thurston counties. He was scheduled to be released in August 2012.

Cedar Creek Corrections Center is a minimum-security prison located in southwest Thurston County. It houses about 400 offenders.
