Larch Escapee Apprehended in Snohomish County

YACOLT, Clark County — An inmate who escaped from Larch Corrections Center in Yacolt was apprehended this morning by Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies and a federal parole officer.

Arthur Thompson was arrested about 10:30 a.m. today at a home in Darrington. He is in custody at the Snohomish County Jail and will be returned to Department of Corrections.

Thompson, 41, escaped Sept. 18 from a community work crew near LaCenter in Clark County.  He was an inmate at Larch Corrections Center, a minimum-security prison located about 15 miles from Vancouver, Wash.
