Department of Corrections transfers Michael Chadd Boysen to King County Jail
The Department of Corrections today transferred offender Michael Chadd Boysen, 26, from a Portland hospital to King County Jail where he will remain in custody. He was booked into the jail at about 12:45 p.m.
In addition to possible new criminal charges related to a recent double homicide, Boysen will go through a DOC violation hearing. Boysen faces multiple allegations of violating the terms of his community supervision, including failing to report to his community corrections officer, failing to enter and complete chemical-dependency treatment and leaving the state without permission. The violation hearing, which will likely be conducted at King County Jail, has not yet been scheduled.
The initial plan was to transfer Boysen to Washington Corrections Center in Shelton, but the Department of Corrections decided instead to transfer him to King County Jail because he is expected to face new criminal charges there.
Boysen is currently under community supervision for an attempted residential burglary conviction in King County.
