Prison Facility Alerts & Notices
See prison facility notices below for information that may impact your travel plans. Please be advised that unforeseen security problems may interfere with visiting, causing delayed, shortened, suspended or cancelled visits. This is unusual, but it does occasionally occur.
Airway Heights Corrections Center (AHCC)
- None at this time.
Cedar Creek Corrections Center (CCCC)
- Saturday, May 11, 2024: Event check-in will be from 10:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All visitors for each event must arrive between these times. Late check-in will not be permitted.
Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC)
Visiting is open during regular hours unless identified as closed below. The children’s area may be unavailable periodically until Sunday, June 30, 2024.
- Monday, June 3, 2024: Visiting will be closed due to construction to improve the play area for children.
- Monday, June 10, 2024: Visiting will be closed due to construction to improve the play area for children.
Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC)
- Friday, May 3, 2024: Visiting is on normal hours this weekend.
- Saturday, May 11, 2024: MSC Visiting will be closed in the morning. Regular visiting open 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, May 12, 2024: MSU Visiting will be closed in the morning. Regular visiting open 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday May 18, 2024: MSC Visiting will be closed in the morning. Regular visiting open 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 18t, 2024: MSU Visiting will be closed in the evening. Regular visiting open 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Stafford Creek Corrections Center (SCCC)

Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW)
Visiting is open during regular hours unless identified as closed below. The children’s area may be unavailable periodically from Monday, April 1, 2024 through Saturday, June 1, 2024. Please see Superintendent Headley's memo(pdf) for more information.
- Saturday, May 4, 2024: Morning visiting sessions will be closed. Evening visiting will be open.
- Sunday, May 5, 2024: Morning visiting sessions will be closed. Evening visiting will be open.
- Monday, May 6, 2024: Visiting will be closed due to construction to improve the play area for children.
- Monday, May 13, 2024: Visiting will be closed due to construction to improve the play area for children.

Washington State Penitentiary (WSP)
- Friday, February 2, 2024: The steps leading to Visiting in the East Complex from the visitor parking lot are currently under construction. As such, all visitors must walk out of the parking lot and down the sidewalk on 13th Ave, entering the facility grounds through the white wooden gate. Accessible parking is available in front of the East Complex public access area for visitors who have a valid state DOT disabled or VET DIS license plate or placard. Thank you for being understanding during this time.

Community Justice Centers

Reentry Centers
- Tuesday, February 13, 2023: The Bellingham Reentry Center is temporarily closed and currently projected to reopen Spring 2024.
- Wednesday, August 2, 2023: The Bishop Lewis Reentry Center is temporarily closed due to the termination of the contract. The department has received funding to reopen the facility under state operations and is actively working to open the facility in Spring 2024. In the meantime, individuals are still being screened and redirected to the Seattle-area Reentry Centers.
Sign-up for Emergency & Incident Alerts
The Department of Corrections (DOC) is now able to send you emergency alerts, as well as non-emergency incident alerts, via text message, email, pager, and/or voice mail.
- Emergency Alerts: Could include hazards that require action be taken such as an evacuation, prison lock down, prison escapees, or other severe events.
- Non-Emergency Incident Alerts Could include significant transportation problems with prolonged impacts, or significant ongoing Corrections exercises or other activity.
This system will not be used for routine informational notices (see Prison Facility Alerts & Notices for this information). Alerts are provided free of charge, however, standard text messaging rates and other charges may apply.
